 I am an associate professor of Bilingual Education at the Mary Lou Fulton  College for Teaching and Learning Innovation at Arizona State University. I study structural forms of power—such as race, ethnicity, religion, and socioeconomic status— and how they shape language use in society, language instruction in schools, and language practices in multilingual (im)migrant families.
